Rolling Stones' Sir Mick Jagger Leads Tributes to Marianne Faithfull

Singer Marianne Faithfull



Sir Mick Jagger has paid tribute to his former partner and singer Marianne Faithfull, who passed away at the age of 78. Jagger, along with Rolling Stones bandmates Ronnie Wood and Keith Richards, remembered Faithfull as a "wonderful friend" and "beautiful singer."


A Legendary Career


Faithfull had a successful music career, with hits like "As Tears Go By" and "Come And Stay With Me." She also acted in films and theater productions, including "The Girl On A Motorcycle" and "Absolutely Fabulous."

Other celebrities, including Sam Neill, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, and Iggy Pop, have also paid tribute to Faithfull, remembering her as a talented artist and a vibrant personality.

Madhya Pradesh Infant Suffers Severe Burns in Superstitious Ritual

In Shivpuri district, Madhya Pradesh, a six-month-old infant named Mayank suffered severe facial burns after his parents subjected him to a ritual by a local tantrik, aiming to treat an ailment. The burns have critically affected his cheeks, lips, and both eyes, with doctors fearing potential loss of vision.  The incident occurred in Hanuman Colony, where the child's father, Aadesh Verma, brought Mayank to the district hospital's eye department. Upon examination, eye specialist Dr. Girish Chaturvedi discovered multiple burn injuries. Initially, the mother admitted they had consulted a tantrik in Ramnagar, Kolaras, where the injuries were inflicted during the ritual. However, the parents later altered their account, claiming the burns resulted from a kitchen accident involving hot tea.  Dr. Chaturvedi highlighted the severity of Mayank's condition on social media, urging authorities to take strict action against those responsible.
