An American Airlines Boeing 737-800 caught fire after landing at Denver International Airport on Thursday evening. The aircraft, carrying 172 passengers and six crew members, was diverted due to reported engine vibrations.
After a safe landing at 5:15 p.m. local time, one of the engines ignited while taxiing to the gate. Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames, and all passengers were safely evacuated. Twelve people sustained minor injuries and were taken to the hospital.
The FAA has launched an investigation into the incident. American Airlines praised the swift response of the crew and emergency teams, emphasizing passenger safety as their top priority.
