A 42-year-old housewife, Maman Zainab, tragically passed away while attending a Ramadan tafsir at a mosque in Gawu, located in the Abaji Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
Eyewitnesses reported that the incident occurred around 11:23 AM on Tuesday, while Maman Zainab was participating in the religious session alongside other women. According to Ismail Bala, a resident of Gawu, she had left home in good health but suddenly began feeling dizzy and complained of a severe headache before collapsing.
She was immediately rushed to the hospital, but sadly, doctors pronounced her dead on arrival. Medical professionals attributed her death to high blood pressure, a condition that can lead to fatal complications if left unmanaged.
Following Islamic traditions, Maman Zainab’s remains were laid to rest shortly after her passing. Her sudden demise has left the community in shock, serving as a reminder of the importance of health monitoring, especially during fasting periods.
